Hi Everyone! I am current student at Williams College graduating in 2017. I am attaining the following degrees: B.A Political Science and Africana Studies Urban Assembly School for Law& Justice '13 Graduated Valedictorian Received 95+ on all HS Required Regents
Experience
I have been a since High School where I worked at Breakthrough Collaborative. I have assisted with 7th and 8th grade students then in Math and English. I also was a great resource in helping the 8th graders at the time determine their future HS Plans. Since this experience, I have fallen in love with seeing my students individually grow as a result of my dedication and overwhelming effort. Since then, I have taught in special education classes in 3rd and 5th grade classrooms. This includes creating lesson plans and sharing them with other lead teachers. In addition, I have been an educational consultant to administration at a charter school. i was in charge of helping create educational plans for the newly adopted Common Core Standards. In addition, I found and planned trips and activities for grades K-8 in the Buffalo area to fulfill an experiential component to assist in their success with the new Common Core Standards. During my undergraduate career, I also lead an organization that connects students who want to tutor with youth and adults in the nearby jail. I think everyone should have access to a transformative and powerful education regardless of their circumstances. Given this, I am willing to work with all students as long as they are just as dedicated and passionate as I am about their future. Hard work does pay off and I can attest to this.
